The Underlayment and New Hardwood Floor

This is the *good* stuff, retailing for $ 3.89 a sf.

Another view - you can see the rich walnut color best here.
My camera flash was weak on the others, making the floor look darker.

The foam backing also works as construction floor protector.

Very cool, very thick - textured, "nubby" vintage glass.

It is not perfect, but it is too cool to scrap, so it will be staying.
Upper cabinets reinstalled after the new ceiling wood was installed.

The Furnace

It fired right up, and really put out some heat. Too bad it was an 80 degree day!

New Ceiling Wood installed


Upper cabinets were removed.
Wood removed at ceiling where vent had leaked.
(Vent / roof repair photos are shown in one of the posts below).
New insulation and wood installed
After uppers reinstalled, close up of new trim and ceiling wood before shellac
During - the last coat of shellac being brushed on ceiling - no trim on the roof vent yet.

...and from the bed looking towards curbside.
Vent reinstalled, new wood with finish applied, original light centered between cabinets.

New Wood Installed at Dinette Area

Overhead cabinet removed, new wood installed at side wall.

The gingerbread wood is cut and dry fit
Installed, first 2 coats of shellac applied
Dinette seat box with lid - Lids to be sanded and have shellec applied.
Walls will be sanded and a final coat of shellac brushed on.
